Scarecrows in County Derry: Very Wizard of Oz
Took these photographs recently and I was amazed to see that farmers are still using scarecrows to scare away the crows. The one with the blue coat has a certain spooky Stephen King vibe so I bet no crow is going to go near the farmer's seeds in that field. I think I would like to a little bit of window dressing and add a hat and some straw!
Scarecrow: I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy: How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.”
