Îris, The Messenger of the Gods
Ancient Greek Ἶρις (Îris, “the messenger of the gods; a rainbow; the iris (of the eye); the flower”)

I took these photographs in Coleraine today. The colours are so vibrant and somehow there is a fragility about...almost translucent. I not sure what the message was this afternoon but it was probably saying, 'stop, pay attention, be in the moment.'
I remember a poem by Mary Oliver which mentioned a blue iris:
